**Asha India (Action for Self-Reliance Hope & Awareness)** was founded in 1993 by a group of nine dedicated professionals committed to combating socio-economic challenges in India. Our foundation is built on the belief that local communities hold the key to their own upliftment.
We moved away from short-term relief to sustainable solutions, focusing primarily on empowerment programs for women and the holistic development of the girl child. Today, we work across multiple states, ensuring our impact is deep, measurable, and enduring.
Vision
A society where every woman and child has the resources and freedom to thrive and lead a dignified life.
Values
Transparency, Accountability, Compassion, and Community-Led Development.

Our Four Pillars of Action
1. Education for All
We provide access to quality education and school supplies for underprivileged children in rural areas.
- Run 15 community learning centers (Gyan Jyoti).
- Provide scholarships and school supplies to 2,000+ students.
- Focus on STEM education and digital literacy in rural areas.
2. Health & Nutrition
Our initiatives ensure essential healthcare reaches marginalized populations, focusing heavily on preventive care and nutritional supplements for mothers and infants.
- Organize free monthly medical and eye check-up camps.
- Distribute high-protein nutritional kits to fight malnutrition.
- Conduct awareness workshops on hygiene and sanitation practices.
3. Women & Livelihoods
Empowerment through economic independence. We establish Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and provide vocational training, giving women control over their financial futures.
- Vocational training in tailoring, handicrafts, and basic accounting.
- Micro-finance access and business mentorship.
- Workshops on legal rights and domestic abuse prevention.
4. Blood Donation
A critical, life-saving service. We organize high-volume blood donation drives and maintain a robust, emergency donor database for instant access during medical crises.
- Conduct quarterly mass blood donation drives in partnership with hospitals.
- Maintain a database of over 5,000 active, registered donors.
- Focus on rare blood group identification and recruitment.
